Macro Series

cropped

I'm now in Macro mode, I've been practicing close-up shots since yesterday. This flower is called bougainvillea. We have a lot of this back home too in Manila. They are shrubs/vines with beautiful flowers. They do have thorns though, that's why back home, we mainly plant this near our fence to ward of intruders, hehe. Isn't it cool for a plant to be used for protection as well as for aesthetic reasons?

Oh Raymond! You've done it again! I've been practising in my garden because it's full of these but none of the shots I've taken have come close to this.

I took me more than two days to get this shot. I am so tempted to buy a new lense. (excuses!)
