Do not peek!

For those who are planning to go to Singapore this week, I think you'll gonna miss the Merlion since the statue is undergoing maintenance. It was said in the news that it was last 2002 when the statue was last cleaned. I'm not sure how long the cleaning will take.

You shoudn't be suprised. English is one of the common language in Singapore (maybe because they are once a british colony). And I heard from the news that the goverment is drafting a plan to improve the quality of english language among Singaporeans.

English is actually the main language in Singapore. Everyone's educated in English from kindergarden to University. The goverment plan to improve the local english because most of the locals here speak "Singlish". Call it broken english or appreciate it as a local culture..Its like Americans use a certain choice of words/slangs while the british use a different one. The difference is that, Spore goverment hope to promote the general kind of english so that we can be more international and adaptive-afterall Singapore is a financial hub.

P.s: Singapore is NOT in China. LOL. we get that all the time. haha..
